Dr. Ron Vender is a Dermatologist who currently practices in Hamilton. He is the founder and director of Dermatrials Research and has participated as principal investigator in over 30 clinical trials.What is the study?
This clinical research trial will compare a marketed topical gel associated with an oral, marketed antibiotic to a placebo gel associated with an oral marketed drug.
What do patients receive?
All eligible subjects will receive, at no cost:
— Study related acne evaluations by a dermatologist
— Study related acne medication
Qualified subjects will be reimbursed a stipend for travel expenses.
What is my commitment?
Dr. Vender is looking for patients 12-35 years of age with severe acne (facial). The study involves up to 9 clinic visits over 28 weeks and blood samples will be drawn.
You must have severe acne, eg. severe nodular acne, severe inflammatory acne, recalcitrant acne; all unresponsive to conventional first line therapies.
