      acne research study

      • Acne affects about 80% of adolescents and young adults
      • Acne is a chronic skin disease
      • If untreated, severe acne can lead to permanent scars

We are conducting a research study to evaluate two different treatment approaches using currently marketed medications; Tactuo plus an antibiotic doxycycline versus isotretinoin.

Tactuo is a topical gel that helps to stop spots and blackheads and kills bacteria. Doxycycline is an oral antibiotic. Isotretinoin is an oral medication that acts on the sebaceous glands to reduce sebum secretion.
